About
Every Friday as a child, I remember racing down the narrow aisle of Blockbuster — my eyes scanning for the latest addition to the collection of cased DVD covers that stood upright. As I looked at each cover, I pondered about the story contained inside each case. I selected one. I took the case off the shelf with my eyes still glued on the cover.
Once I got back home, my thoughts didn’t end after watching the film. I began to think about what he would’ve done differently with each character, storyline and scene if the story was told from my view. My passion for storytelling was born.
Now as an adult, my fervor for storytelling continues to develop as I work at Montgomery County Public Schools as a communications specialist for social media marketing.
I studied multi-platform journalism at the prestigious Philip Merrill College of Journalism at the University of Maryland: College Park. Through internships, courses and extracurricular activities, I told stories via print, digital and social media.
In my free time, you can catch me oozing my love for the latest (or most classic) horror film, watching YouTube videos or out in Washington, D.C.
